Franz Hainzl

Franz Hainzl originally comes from the Austrian region of Oberes Waldviertel and moved to Vienna after his school leaving exam in order to study at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna (opera stage direction) and at the University of Vienna (Dramatics and German Philology). His engagement with the "Jeunesse" (Musical Youth Austria) that also included tour management and artists' support, gave him some practical experience already during his studies. Alongside his occupation as assistant director, he was invited by the Austrian broadcasting service, ORF, to organise musical programmes for its classical radio station Ö1 that were dedicated to the stage and vocal repertory. In the course, he also worked as a music editor for the television of ORF before changing to the Viennese artists' agency Dr. Raab & Dr. Böhm in 1991 where he specialised in the assistance, career management and consultance of opera and concert singers. In 1998, he founded his own artists' agency with a focus on the general management on an international basis for only a few artists, especially for opera singers. He built up a solid and successful career development for artists such as Angela Maria Blasi, Miriam Gauci, Doris Soffel, Piotr Beczala and Glenn Winslade and continues this path with his current artists' roster. Moreover, also conductors have confided their representation to Franz Hainzl recently.

Franz Hainzl has a licence for the representation of self-employed artists and self-employed artistic occupations (registration n°100922/f/4/5). TPA Horwath is his tax consultant to whom he gives his thanks for the good collaboration ever since the foundation of the agency.
