It is indeed a special challenge to make a debut at Italy’s Olympus of the lyric art with a role by Giuseppe Verdi! This honor falls to Eva Liebau when stepping on stage of Milan’s Teatro alla Scala for the first time as Nanetta in Falstaff on October 14th 2015. Singing Verdi’s fairy-song under Daniele Gatti’s baton she celebrates her Milan stage debut after having appeared at the same venue for the first time already some years ago within a Mozart concert conducted by Nikolaus Harnoncourt.
Joining Robert Carsen’s Falstaff staging Eva Liebau meets illustrious partners like Eva Mei, Marie-Nicole Lemieux, Francesco Demuro and Massimo Cavaletti as well as Nicola Alaimo singing the title-role.
