One lovely season after the other

Pierre-Emmanuel Rousseau’s doubtlessly most exciting and successful season so far has come to an end. The season was highlighted by new-productions of Rossini’s Il barbiere di Siviglia at the Opéra du Rhin and of Offenbach’s The Rhine Mermaids at the Opera in Tours (first performance of the French version within France) as well as at the Theatre Biel-Solothurn. Furthermore revivals of two other successful productions staged by Pierre-Emmanuel have taken place: Le Comte Ory at the Rouen Opera and Don Pasquale at the Blackwater Valley Opera Festival (Irland).

Much vigour sees the opening of next season too when Il barbiere di Siviglia will be revived at the Rouen Opera, followed by a new-production of La Clemenza di Tito at the Angers-Nantes Opera and at the Rennes Opera.

Revival of Il barbiere di Siviglia in Rouen on September 27, 29, October 1, 3 and 5, 2019.
