After concluding the last year as Dido (Dido and Aeneas) at the Lille Opera with the Concert d’Astrée and Emmanuelle Haïm and after welcoming the New Year with Beethoven’s Symphony No 9 together with the orchestra of the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino under Zubin Mehta’s baton, Marie-Claude Chappuis returns to the Berlin State Opera with the role which she is currently performing most frequently: Dido, in the wonderful staging by Sasha Waltz.
