Conductor

Arnaud Arbet

News

Welcome!

We are delighted to announce our new collaboration with Arnaud Arbet, an accomplished musician, remarkable pianist, composer, musicologist, and first-class conductor, a tireless explorer of music with a particular affinity for 20th and 21st-century operatic and symphonic repertoires.

His work as musical assistant to György Kurtág, whom he accompanied for five years during the final stages of his opera, Fin de partie, culminating in its premiere at La Scala in Milan in 2018, was a profoundly significant milestone in his career.

Arnaud Arbet has been chosen to conduct the Romanian premiere (in Kurtág's native country) of Fin de partie in 2025, as part of the George Enescu International Festival in Bucharest. It's a huge success.

But Arnaud Arbet's repertoire extends far beyond Fin de partie! He may not have conducted them all yet, but he has studied and knows in depth no fewer than 87 works, from Claudio Monteverdi's L'Orfeo to Olivier Messiaen's Saint-François d'Assise, including Le Nozze di Figaro, Les Contes d’Hoffmann, Salomé, Pelléas et Mélisande and Wozzeck, to name just a few. His symphonic repertoire is no less impressive!

Add to that his kindness, humility, tact and deep respect for each of his interlocutors, and all the ingredients are there to make Arnaud Arbet an ideal working partner.

Welcome, Maestro, and long live our partnership!
